Gungrave & Second Chances

Haven't updated in a while, hehe. Recently, I finished the Gungrave anime, and subsequently got the soundtrack; both of which are AMAZING. I really liked the first 4 episodes of Gungrave I saw when I borrowed the first volume from my friend, and I'm a HUGE fan on the seriously underrated game: Gungrave Overdose (which with its predecessor, Gungrave, actually inspired the anime, not the other way around!!). The anime was fast, funny, heart warming, shocking and at times quite sad. That said, it was a really good anime, on my long list of old animes to watch. Almost makes me wanna play Overdose again.

Now, the funny thing about this next part is the idea of 'second chances', which was a major theme in Gungrave. Yesterday, I felt that I had a second chance at something, or perhaps someone...that I thought was dead to me, or beyond reach. Suffice to say yesterday was great, but at the same time it opened up a new window in my life that could bring great things. Dreams don't lie...although somewhat convoluted. I had a sort of feeling that I'd have this encounter, and it honestly gives me hope for the future, and all I have to do is take an active part in how things go. I thank God that man is still granted second chances, and I'll use this one to the fullest extent =>

The Prom & Xbox Party

The Prom was AMAZING. The food was good, the venue was quite cool (once we got inside that is). Finding that place was silly =/ It was a place in the middle of nowhere, in Bromley, IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE. It was nice hanging out with friends, checking out all the pretty ladies => and of course; DANCING. YESH. After 5 years of not being able to go to a single party or dance, I finally managed to let loose. There were a few good tunes, especially when for the last 30 minutes it went all 80s. Me and my friend Stephen managed to BUST A MOVE. There was some supposed dance competition, but it didn't really take off. I personally think Stephen and I won => It was a bit sad that I didn't have a date, obviously, but oh well. Altogether, it was a great night =)

The day before, I went to my friend's house for a big gaming session. With about 12 of us in total, we played Halo 3, MW2 and a few other games here and there, via system link on multiple TVs with about 5 Xboxs. It was AWESOME. Lots of snacks and drinks, a load of laughs and screams. It was FANTASTIC. It also gave us a chance to joke around and eat pizza. It's something I've always wanted to do actually =) It'd be FREAKIN AMAZING to have a large scale LAN party, but I suppose that might not happen. Oh well. Summer continues, and it's all about Xbox, Anime, movies and music. OH YEAH

My Summer & 'The Clincher'

WELL. All my exams are FINISHED. Finally, I am FREEEEEEEEEE. After nearly missing my English exam, sitting my Philosophy exam with uncertainty but hope, and doing my Sociology exam with my eye on the prize, I could finally walk home bravely and chill out knowing everything would be alright. Ever since June 30, I've been just playing xbox, watching anime/ movies/ tv shows, and reading manga. It's also given me a chance to hang out with friends and do some stuff. Like Danson Festival was pretty darn awesome => Annnnd, I got to play Killzone 2 on my friend's PS3. With an HDMI hooked in, it looked REALLY impressive. At the moment, I'm waiting for prom which I think is gonna be quite good. I'm yet to see of course how it's all gonna go. Summer so far has been GREAT. And I'm sure it can only get better ]=>

Out of inspiration from a friend, and because I'm taking a break from Soul Eater, I decided to make a new AMV. Well, GMV anyway. I thought I'd make a BlazBlue one since I had been wanting to for a while, and I used 'The Clincher' by Chevelle as the music. I downloaded a new video player called 'Video spin' which was...pretty good actually. Simple and easy to use, and the quality was near HD. But for some RIDICULOUS and UNSEEN reason, when I made the video it had a section which was rawly jittery. I ended up uploading it anyway, which took a WHILE and the video looked ok. But it bothered me too much =/ So after a long day yesterday, I decided to sit down and have a crack at it again. After thorough and seriously appreciated help from a friend, I managed to fix up what was wrong using another program. There were SOOOO many technical hitches, and this situation reminded me of an issue I'm currently having in my social life. It truly seemed like I this final attempt was 'the clincher'. After 1 internet connection screw up, and about 5 good hours, the upload was done. And...it looks perfect. I will proudly say I am confident in what I've made. I suppose it won't be very popular or amazing to some, but I can rest easy knowing I've made a pretty cool video =>
