My Uni Life & My Gaming Life

Heyyyy, so it's been a while I know. Aint had time to post. Or more like, couldn't get the time :p But anyway, yeah. Uni's begun!! Aston University is pretty damn amazing. Living only 20 minutes down the hill from it means a long walk, but hey it's convenient. I kinda wish I lived on campus though =/ Mainly cause I um...haven't made any friends yet. But no matter. Classes have started, and they're pretty cool. But man alive have I gotten LOADS of work. Assignments, notes, readings, quizzes, and soon essays. Well, i suppose I gotta sink my teeth into it. But still. The parties have been pretty cool, and I am enjoying the independence as well as the ability to find out so much psychological knowledge.

On the other side of things, I've been upping my gaming. I've done so much in my games, as follows;

-F.E.A.R 2, i completed Hard mode. It was challenging, but I got to enjoy that game again
-Halo Reach, i've done most things except Legendary. I'm a captain in it now!!! But multiplayer's becoming too much like Halo 3...overbearing. It's still a quality game though
-Super Street Fighter IV, a game which I thought i'd never get. Granted, i'm pretty good in it with Guy, but it still pisses me off too much to call it one of my favourites
-Modern Warfare 2, i got all the achievements!!! I did Wardriving on my own => And I did Wetwork, with the help of a brother =) It's strange though, it's not as hard it used to be on Veteran. hehe
-Devil May Cry 4, i got Legendary Devil Hunter!! I killed over 50,000 enemies, and I'm on 90+ hours of gameplay. OH YEAH
-BlazBlue, i completed everyone's Story mode, AND saw the True ending. MAN ALIVE, it was amazing. Challenging, but I'm glad I was dedicated till the end =) I also completed everyone's Arcade mode and used their Astral finishes. Now, i'm training even more with Ragna. I still aint beaten Unlimited Ragna, but i will someday. I can't wait for Expo so I can play Continuum Shift!!!

So that's it really. I've got work undone, and more gaming to play so; LET'S ROCK, BABY. YEAH

Miles Away & WANT

I've been so busy and bothered lately that I haven't had time for a journal entry. I suppose it's no excuse, but oh well. So yeah; i'm here!!! In my accomodation in Birmingham, and it is NICE. So far, not much has happened. I've fully unpacked, annnnnd I went to the Welcome Party. It was QUALITY. Though the lonely stagger home wasn't particularly fun. Anywayz, I'm glad to be independent, but it has its own struggle. Having internet is a good luxury at the moment. I was thinking of not attending the tours and such like, but I suppose it'd be for the best. But if anything that's kind of nice, it's the freedom. And heck, the space of this room.

On another note, I seriously want Halo Reach. I know i know, want goes on forever, and man is never content. Cause after how much I wanted Splinter Cell Conviciton, i was happy to finally have it, but now I want Reach. I suppose it's cause everyone has it really. But I guess i'll miss it's important era. Haha. I'll buy it at some point, but I gotta be careful cause I don't wanna spend money I don't have. For the moment, I am pretty ok, I just wish I could just get Reach and have that done. There are many other things i really WANT right now, but I guess that's just life really. Oh well.

Now, to a new beginning. The rest of freshers week, and for the journey that is University!!!!

The Expendables & My Friend's 21st

Funny thing...went out to see Scott Pilgrim vs The World...twas sold out T_T So i ended up watching The Expendables instead. It was a good film, trust me, absolutely JOKES and CRAZY. But i wish I'd seen it with some of the guys =/ Scott Pilgrim would have been nice as well. Too bad we don't have many action heroes nowadays...I suppose those times are gone really. Oh well

On Friday, I went to my friend's 21st birthday, in a hotel in Essex. It went REALLY well. And the after-slumber-party was a really great time. Makes me even more excited for uni.

I've got a busy week ahead, and I should be getting my laptop soon. I hope so

A Level Results & The Road Ahead

The day finally came. After people sweated buckets, bullets and other things, Thursday crept up so nicely. And I walked into the doors, and only then did I feel nervous for the first time. But the result...was successful. Ignoring the details, I looked at the final result: A in Sociology, A in English Language, and a B in Philosophy. Just as planned => haha. Well, it's what I was hoping to get, and it got me into Aston University!!! Things are still being finalized and stuff, but at least I'm in. This has been a long time coming, and I'm glad that I finally made it. Now the steady wait till I move to Birmingham =>

The road ahead is pretty much what happened after I got the results. It was a good day, as I managed to buy Batman: Arkham Asylum and a limited edition Splinter Cell man-bag with Splinter Cell on PC. Although, funnily enough, I had initially wanted Splinter Cell: Conviction. *sigh* Some other time. Soon I hope. There's alot of things I've realized lately, and some things I may discover in the near future. With uni right ahead of me, there's alot to look forward to. Perhaps everything will be perfect...But i'm confident that for the most part it'll be an amazing experience. Oh well, let's wait and see =)

Soul Eater & Waiting For Results

After months of waiting, I finally managed to complete Soul Eater. It was good, yeah. It took an interesting position on the whole good vs evil morality battle we always have in anime. This time, it was 'Bravery' vs 'Madness'. Heh. Very interesting. Not much other than that

At the moment, with 3 days left, I'm waiting for my exam results day, which is Thursday 19th August. It's going to be the finalizer. *sigh* There's not much to say other than I hope it all goes well.

Black Holes & Revelations

I thought the name of the Muse album would be fitting for all that I've been through lately. It's been a while since I've updated, and alot has happened. I've made my latest GMV for Youtube, but boy was it not easy...It took SUCH a long time, and I felt like I would never be able to upload it. I got so frustrated, and it took a lot of research and constant scrutiny to figure out how to finally get it uploaded. The completed product is something I'm proud of though => It's called 'For My Dear -DMC4-', a vid which I dedicated to a friend. I do question the necessity of the amount of stress and pain I went through to make it however...Oh well.
Another issue is our weather here. It's ridiculous. It's supposed to be summer, but it's all rain clouds and cold winds. Doesn't help the mood at all. I reached the point where I felt like there's no point in even trying, that there's not point in even being happy. I wouldn't say the clouds were a direct cause, but it just didn't help the mood I was in. To be honest, I kind of feel that way now...Unlimited texts but no one to text. All the time in the world, but no one to hang out with. All the enthusiasm, but none of the result. It's quite maddening really...
Recently, I had to make a decision that, although was for the best, hurt me more than I thought it would. It was rather uncomfortable, but it's something that defines my new personality, and shuns that of the idiot I was 2 years ago. I'm not sure how circumstances shall play out, but I feel worse than when I was doing nothing about it. Some things will never change.

This isn't to say nothing good hasn't happened. 2 nice surprises were Bioshock and Dead Space; 2 games that were better than I thought they'd be. Bioshock was a game that I had played before, but I didn't really like it that much. Well, at all. Cause it just wasn't appealing to me. However, upon playing Bioshock 2 which I found much more fun, I decided to give 1 a try. And I will admit, it's a pretty good game. The intro to the game was somewhat hit and miss, and at times incredibly annoying, but time spent past that produced great results. As good as it was however, I won't buy it. Simply because it's not really a game I'd love to keep. The same with Dead Space, which was also pretty great (and had an AMAZING last boss, ROFL) but I liked the single playthrough, no more. A BIG thing that happened lately was seeing Inception. After watching Minority Report on Sky movies, I was REALLY eager to see it. And I have to say; it's one of the best movies I've ever seen!!! Imaginative, innovative, tense and powerful. I loved every bit of the heart pumping 2 and 1/2 hour long ride. It brought up many questions and perspectives which I feel are all very interesting and valid. I was happy to see this film, as well as Toy Story 3 which I saw last week; also fantastic.

At the moment, with both 'black holes' of situations, and 'revelations' of interesting things, I'm waiting for results day, as well as anything else I need/ want. Summer is summer I guess, but uni is coming and I can't wait. Let's just see where my life goes
