Even Mo' BAM Fest & Inside The Web

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. The BAM Festival is still swinging. This week, it was the Girl Who Leapt Through Time and The Sky Crawlers. The first film, which was on Monday was pretty good. It was interestingly done, although strange and random, but lovable nonetheless. The ending divided the crowd however. I really appreciated the ending, but most thought it was silly. Tch, as if a romantic cheesy ending would have been MUCH better ¬_¬ Either way. Random and weird, yet good movie. Sky Crawlers was as I predicted, and as Paul described. Slow, strange, mature, but engaging in a mellow kind of way with epic CGI plane scenes. Since it was directed by Mamoru Oshii with Production IG, i could tell what was coming. And the girl in it DID look alot like the child version of Motoko Kusanagi. Though i love Motoko, this girl was just CREEPY. Either way, two good films. Tomorrow, i'll be seeing the finale; Summer Wars. Hoping for a big turnout and lots of fun =)

Yesterday, I went to a friend's house, which was pretty cool. Through talking to her friend about random stuff, then personal stuff, and then some NEXT stuff, every piece began to fall into place. Now i understand everything about the big 'web of intrigue' surrounding the many new friends I have. Some things were expected, others were surprising. But now, i can gladly say that my case is closed on the matter, and it has been a rather interesting ride along the way. Though the whole deal makes me feel a bit alienated and alone. Maybe it's better that way... Oh well.

Lookin forward to a good week =>

Mo' BAM Fest & Code Geass

WOW. What a half term and 1/2. SO much done, and so much left not done, haha. So basically:

Monday- went to David Llyod Leisure Centre with Matt, did lots of exercise, LOTS, and chilled out with some pizzas and videos at his place after. Then, went to Erith to oversee Sonia's art workshop. Was pretty cool, and got to ask her about her favourite guns. Heh. Cool to meet someone into guns like that; a proper fanatic.

Tuesday- Slept ALOT, then did the usual bizzle.

Wednesday- Swung by Josh's house and played some 360. I ended up having the same reaction when i faced The Alchemist in Prince of Persia: 'STOP GETTING YOUR HEALTH BACK!!!!' Fun =) Then met Marisa and went to the, surprisingly close, Crayford Manor House for the Cooking workshop. Although somewhat short and simple, everyone enjoyed it. Now i have a good ol' Mickey Mouse bento T_T Hehe

Thursday- BIIIIIIIIG day. Headed to Central, and along the way about 12 cops were holding down this one black guy, what a sight. And more were coming as well!! Anywayz, helped co-ordinate the first workshop with Emma. Talked with Dan a bit, then headed to Welling for the second event, which was good as well. Then roamed around Bexleyheath until the film. MAN ALIVE. For a very short film, The Cat Returns nearly had me in tears. I was SO touched!! It was so fun and lovable, as well as cool and action-packed.

Friday- Lazin about, played ODST again. Grrrr ¬_¬ CANNOT get past Kilingo Boulevard on Legendary on my own. Stayed alive for like 20 MINUTES only to be killed by the stupid Wraith ¬___________¬ Gave up, then played Halo 3 with Abi and Josh. Which was actually really fun. I've gotten so much better now, cause i'm focusing on how to gun someone down Halo style. I even got to rank 7 =>

Saturday- Ghost balaclava came!!! Threw some crap together, luckily bought a Mini Uzi and Knife (toys obviously) and seriously helped out at the Cosplay Workshop. People said i looked scary, ahah. Had so many pictures taken by newspaper people and did a video interview with the guy recording the event. So happy =) Felt a bit sad when it ended though. Ended so early that everyone left and i felt left behind really. Oh well.

Saturday night consisted of the second thing, which is Code Geass. By 6:30am, i managed to finsh the second season. Pretty freaking good anime ]=> Really engaging, funny, and action up the hootanany. Not the greatest story ever told, but a delivey so nice that I couldn't help but keep going back for more. And it's by Sunrise!! The studio that made S-Cry-ed and Gundam Seed. Although you can tell Code Geass is by CLAMP by the designs of the characters, though the style has a Sunrise touch to it. The show was a bit like Death Note, liken to Gundam Seed, by way of Raphael from Soul Calibur's ambitions, with a S-Cry-ed style premise, with a Gurren Lagann style sub-plot. Haha. I know, VERY long winded. Anywayz, I'm glad Odin recommended it to me. I had alot of fun with it =)

So, back to school. But ah, morning study leave ;)

Level 70 & Filmz

I FINALLY turned level 70 in MW2. You know what that means? PRESTIGING. Ok, not just yet. But the road to 70 was quite a long one. I learned how to draw for the tool faster, how to get the killstreaks up, and basically to be the jack-of-all trades when it comes to guns. Gaining my own style along the way, it was a pretty long and fun journey. Shootin down harries, AC130's and what not. Ahhhh, good times. Now i gotta complete all the challenges i have left BEFORE i prestige. What an AWESOMETOWN game.

Anywayz, watched a couple of films lately. As part of the BAM festival, I've seen Tokyo Godfathers and Cowboy Bebop: The Movie. Now, Tokyo Godfathers was a prett good and funny film, by Satoshi Kon, as in the Paranoia Agent director. It was well done and interesting, and violent when i didn't expect it. Although, some people laughed at like every bit which was even remotely humurous and that was slightly annoying, but no matter. I thought it was ok though. What i was slightly iff'd about though was how many seemed like they were getting bored by Cowboy Bebop. I got it on DVD, seen it 3 times, and LOVED it. Granted it aint the fastest paced anime or maybe the most flashy, but that's just like the series, and it's old so it's got that classic style. I thought it was all about absorbing its atmosphere and enjoying what it presents, but it seems all people wanted was explosive action. Suppose i can understand really...Good night regardless =)

Anywayz, more BAM festival events over this week =>

'Ninja School' & Avatar (Sun Feb 7, 2010, 2:14 PM)

On Wednesday, i went to my first Bexley Anime & Manga festival event which was Chris Crudelli's 'Ninja School'. Being a martial artist, he taught a group of about 40 of us different defensive techniques. I've been in a session with him before, so i knew some of his stuff. The new bits were quite cool as well. What was pretty awesome was how at the end, he said we should get into groups of 5 and act out a small scene using our 'ninja skills'. The most ninja-like team would get a reward, he said. The other teams were kinda just messing around, especially the team before us. But NO. I was SERIOUS. We put our heads together, gave directions and order. In the end, we entered an imaginary house from different positions, beat up the inhabitants, secured the living room and bailed out. It was pretty frickin cool, but i'm sure we looked ridiculous. Though, we did all use what we had learned aaaaaaaaaaand we WON. They did favour the team before as well for some odd reason, and they got 2nd place. But 'Team Gaiden' reigned supreme =>

On another note, I went to see Avatar with Freeminder. MAN ALIVE. All my expectations have been DESTROYED. That film blew me AWAY. It was so amazingly done. Admittedly, without 3D it probably wouldn't be that amazing. Regardless, it was so well done. A decently long film with enough visuals to fill a universe of its own. Though many may find it odd that i supported the Marines the whole way. Sure, i was on the Na'vis side with how they bonded with nature and wanted to protect what they believe it. Heck, i didn't mind that Sam Worthington fell in love so easily, cause he did so well and cause he was a marine as well. Thing is, the pure AWESOME MILITARY MIGHT, although misguided, was so powerfully rendered that each helicopter and mech had me and Matt bouncing in our seats. And the sorta capitalist ideology the marines as a group represented was what was so admirable in a way. Of course, the forest in Pandora was so FANTASTIC. From the indeginous wildlife to the Na'vi people themselves and those dragon things they had to bond with. All the while never running out of spinach. Wow...just WOW. It has seriously raised the bar on entertainment, and i won't ever watch it on DVD without 3D. It's ESSENTIAL.

There is a 3rd reason this week was pretty awesome, but it's something i doubt deviant art would care about sooooo; have a nice week =)

Break-neck Speed & Challenges (Sun Jan 31, 2010, 2:23 PM)

Well, now that the first couple of exams are done, all the teachers are easing back into the regular ebb and flow of teaching. But for some odd reason, they're now (especially in English) moving at an unforgiving pace which even I feel uneasy about. I mean, i ALREADY have a practice test in Sociology, which is just SILLY. We had the exam LAST WEEK for goodness sake. I suppose i'm whining, but it still stands. Oh well, what can you do?

Now, there's 3 kinds of challenges: Stuff that you can do with effort and time, stuff that is hard at first but you get used to gradually, and stuff that's possible but is unfair and tough to do on your own.

The first is referring to MW2, where I do weapon challenges. Fun stuff, easy and simple. Currently i'm using the SCAR, UMP45, M21 sniper, TAR-21 and Vector.
The second is referring to Street Fighter IV. Great game, but i'm SO terrible at it. Well, was terrible. I'm 'ok' at it now, though i do arcade on Easiet. Trust me, Easiest means that the CPU won't be TOO vicious, they still do grabs and cheap moves ALL the time ¬_¬ But i have won my first few online matches though. I wish the system was a bit better, as well as the connecting.
The last refers to Left 4 Dead 2. 'Gr8' fun, considering i have no one to play it with. I did Dead Centre on my own, and even did the carnival one on my own even though my friend helped me earlier. The reason for this is that she left me behind on the very last bit, so I didn't 'survive' the campaign, hence no achievement. *sigh* It was TORTUROUS doing it again on my own, and i died SO many times. Even Half-Life didn't feel that bad...That was managable, this was silly.

I've taken a break from it, but it's still a good game though.

Anywayz, lookin forward to an amazing week as the Bexley Anime & Manga festival starts. Gonna be great =)

Exam 1 & Finished Anime (Sun Jan 24, 2010, 2:06 PM)

YESH. Finally did my Sociology A2 exam for Religion, and it went pretty well. EVERYTHING on there was stuff we knew, which was great. JEEZ. 2 weeks of worrying with homework on top. Glad that's done now =)

Recently, i completed: Black Cat, Full Metal Panic- The Second Raid, and FLCL. All AMAZING anime, with endings that have a strange sense of compromise.I suppose they're endings not fit for all, like Evangelion's ending. But it was still enjoyable to see what happened to Train, Sosuke and Naota in the end.

A new week...LET'S ROCK

Assassin's Creed II & Prototype (Sun Jan 17, 2010, 2:04 PM)

This is a bit of a heads-up really, but i just gotta say: Assassin's Creed II is AMAZING. It is definately better than the first, with so much in there to have kept me playing non-stop. Haven't even TOUCHED MW2. Hehe. It's what the first game should have been.

Finally completed Prototype. My attitude to the ending was like Alex Mercer's: 'I looked for the truth. Found it. Didn't like it' But in more of a melancholy kinda way. It was an incredibly fun game though.

New Years & Surprises (Sun Jan 10, 2010, 2:06 PM)

Mysteriously, better than Christmas. Had a bit of work to do at Church, but got a lot of 360 gaming in. My family decided to treat itself after all our hard work, and guess what??!??! I got Modern Warfare 2!! FINALLY. And with some speakers i bought and an audio jack for the VGA cable i got for my monitor screen, i know can play 360 in my room. Thank God T_T

That was surprise number 1. Surprise number 2 was a blast from the past. And not a bad one, but rather something unexpected. Oh well, guess the teenage mindset cynicism of 'no surprises' was surprised itself. Heh.

Anwyayz, have a good week =)

Christmas & This Time Of Year (Sun Dec 27, 2009, 2:09 PM)

Well, that STUNK. I shouldn't have had expectations and i was sick for most of the time. There's stuff that i don't feel comfortable mentioning here, but really Christmas was just TERRIBLE.

Anywayz, almost new year and i look back at last year around this time, and i feel horrifically lonely...What can you do? And i got that sociology exam in January, and church to go to. *sigh* Lonely times...

Paranormal Activity & MW2 (Sun Dec 13, 2009, 2:25 PM)

Well, that film shook me. It was SPOOKY 0_0. Yeah, you can say it was cliche and the ending was slighly predictable, and yet it was all so well done that it was entertaining all the while. Although the black kids screaming at every loud noise was just stupid. Jokin and making comments with the guys was pretty cool though. Good day out, despite all the annoyances getting it ¬_¬ Hehe

As for MW2, it boils down to this: YOU NEED TO PLAY MODERN WARFARE 2. Tough but simple, insane but paced. Probably the funnest and most amazing campaign I've played this year (yes ODST, you're 2nd). Short yeah, but packed with so much MMM that it gives you the same headache you got from COD4. Multiplayer is still the chips and beans, and Spec Ops is definitely a winner. A cinematic, blockbuster experience if there ever was one. Makes me wanna get it even more T_T Hehe.

ONE MORE WEEK!!!

Fault & Goodbye Sun Dec 6, 2009, 2:33 PM

First off, this week was alright, and i'll explain something big that happened in a second. But, there was somethin that bothered me today and that was the silly blame game that has happened so close to the chest for my entire life. So here i am waiting to iron some clothes at 12:30 pm today, and the iron refues to turn on. And by 12:45 pm, i realized 2 things: 1- Halo Legends: The Duel is an AMAZING episode, and 2- WHY ISN'T THIS IRON ON?!?! And then by 1:05 when the iron decides to come on, SOMEBODY decides to come up and yell and complain at me how i've wasted time and i should have done this earlier when in fact i don't have magic powers to turn on an iron that doesn't want to. Just like when there's something missing, on the floor or just not looking tidy, SOME PEOPLE just HAVE to, HAVE TO make me feel as if it's all my fault. *sigh*

Anyway, I had to say goodbye to Oxford for good...They invited me to an interview, which i seriously wish they hadn't. But they required me to miss 3 DAYS OF SCHOOL and it'd cost over £60 to get there and back, and to be honest i REAAAAAALLLLLY never wanted to do Philosophy and Theology in the first place. So gathering some courage, i finally declared that I don't want to go. And since i'm ok to type this journal now, then you'll know it went down easy. Admittedly, rejecting Oxford is painful...but better than doing a subject that i wasn't enthuastic about. That is, if i got in. Heh. Well, I still got a future ahead of me with Psychology. I seriously hope that i can make it. Good week guys =)

Halo 3: ODST & Prom (Sun Nov 29, 2009, 2:07 PM)

After borrowing it from my friend and completing it on Normal and Heroic, i absolutely LOVE ODST. It's not as 'short' as people made it sound, and it was a lovable experience the whole time. Unlocking the helmet on Halo Waypoint was cool (along with shirt and hoodie), but i wanted to aim for the armor. So with the help of Nathan, we merked through Heroic and earned the armor => It's really fun, but i felt weird playing COD4 afterwards haha. I'll try and complete it on Legendary and then i'll give it back to my friend. Man alive, it was time well spent.

On another note, my school has confirmed time, place and price for our Year 13 prom. Awesometown. Now all I need to do is pay, find out what to wear and hopefully find someone to go with T_T. It will be fun just to see peoples and hang out with friends, but it'd be nice to go with someone. Heck, my parents are even wondering about that. Oh well, i'll see how it goes.

Angles & G36c (Sun Nov 22, 2009, 2:06 PM)

I have found myself being self-evaluative lately...Unfortunately, that's the product of being confined to your own thoughts for a long time. But i figured since my friends can fill in the blanks, i decided to discover from them indeed what their different 'angles' on my situation was. Of course i received varied responses, and it proves simply that one's own view is never enough, because there's always a multi-verse of meanings and interpretations. But left of my own again, I still more or less believe that I must have imagined the whole thing or made some sort of mistake somewhere along the line...But there's nothing I can do about it.

But I was quite happy that, after long endless hours of hard work and serious dedication, I managed to unlock the G36c on COD4; more or less my dream gun. I love it. It's exactly what the doctor ordered. First match using it; 22 kills. By the 3rd match, i got the red dot sight. By the 7th or 8th match, i got the ACOG scope. I was UNSTOPPABLE => Haha. Well, suffice to say it's a great gun and now i feel content about playing it well. I suppose i'll continue on till i reach level 55 and then just give it back to JT. It was fun while it lasted. And it seems there's no hope for MW2 now...oh well. Have a good week everyone

Modern Warfare 2 & Secondary Complications (Sun Nov 15, 2009, 1:30 PM)

Tuesday, November 10 2009, over 2 million Xbox Live users were online at once. I WONDER WHY. Oh wait i know, because of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Of which i don't have T_T And probably won't have for a very long time, if ever. JT was gracious enough to let me borrow COD4, as it eases the pain. Luckily, i've gotten better at it, and FPS in general, so i've been able to have many good moments so far. I'll probably return it to him after I either get my own copy or get 2. Oh well, i figure i'll just have to have fun and wait.

That aside, this week seemed to be when Seventh Hell opened on my doorstep. I lost something important. Ok, SEVERAL important things...My debit card's broken. And now i seem like a weirdo to a yet another girl. *sigh* I don't like piling things on, but that is the situation. But 'it could be worse' right? Yeah, i know. All i can do now is move on. Hope to have fun, and avoid awkward situations.

Have a good week, to anyone that reads this =)

Uni Acceptances & Complications (Sun Nov 8, 2009, 2:10 PM)

YESH!! This week, i got letters containing offers from Aston University, my first choice, and Kent University, the fail safe. I'm yet to hear from Leicester, Oxford and Bath Spa. The decision's harder now that i got offers haha.

Although, this week was quite tough. From as simple the reason of Rainbow Six Vegas being as tough as COD4 on Veteran, to a closed one going through hell, and me going through hell at the same time. 'Sometimes things get complicated', but with the help of Deamau5 and some friends, i've been able to cope.

Have a good week friends =>

Half Term & Brand New Name (Sun Nov 1, 2009, 2:11 PM)

This half term was nothing but 360, 360, 360. And hangin out with Anthony and thems, and my dad's birthday. But still, 360 =>

Completed Prince of Persia. Great game, and spectacular boss fight at the end. Weird i suppose, but i really loved it. Too bad i gotta start a new game to get the other achievements.
Completed Wolverine. The last fight was CRAZY, visceral, and pretty friggin awesome. Got quite a few achievements. Hehe. I feel bad to give it back to JT
Ninja Gaiden II and Left 4 Dead are fun, but i'm kinda on a stalemate, haha.
Star Ocean: The Last Hope is good. I'm doing a kind of competition to get the final blow in a fight, cause Reimi keeps stealig the kills. 18-7, Take That Reimi =>
And i bought Rainbow Six Vegas, but i haven't played it yet.

Also, i'm not sure why but i have 30 Seconds To Mars' song 'Capricorn (Brand New Name)' in my head. The lyrics "So I'll Run And Hide, And Tell Myself I'll Start Again With A Brand New Name, And Eyes That See Into Infinity'. They're kinda floating around in my consciousness. Maybe i feel refreshed, ready to tackle the week. After some good times and annoying times, with the helps of friends and fun stuff, i'm ready to move on =)

EXPO Oct '9 & 360ness (Sun Oct 25, 2009, 4:00 PM)

Wellllllllllllllllll, the London MCM Expo '09 was quality and a bag of chips. It was pretty legendary, because of: Seeing Vicky, Abi, Nikki and Patrick again, Meeting Lyco from NEOMag, Playing Tekken 6, Borderlands, Bayonetta, Tatsunoko Vs Capcom, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and checking about Bioshock 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Assassin's Creed II and Dante's Inferno. GOOD STUFF =) And all in all, a good day. More posters in my room, covering up more and more space haha.

Anywayz, hopefully this half-term i might be able to get some more 360 playing in, as it's quite fun, as usual, for extra reasons this time though. Left 4 Dead is always good, Ninja Gaiden II is TOUGH. I got to beat the chapter 2 boss soon T_T Prince of Persia is AMAZING, and the new Prince is probably one of my favourite video game characters now. Hehe. Also, i'm hoping to play some more Gears 2 and FINALLY Star Ocean: The Last Hope.

To a good half term =>

Music & Sociology (Sun Oct 18, 2009, 1:10 PM)

Man, i am SOOOO crazy with music right now. I've gathered quite a few new songs and albums, consisting of: BlazBlue OST, White Lies, Friendly Fires, Avenged Sevenfold, Muse, 30 Seconds To Mars, Samurai Champloo OST, Coldplay, and Asian Kung-Fu Generation. It has been quite the journey listening to all these, and i'm still not done haha. In fact, Avenged Sevenfold on their own is an experience and 1/2. Each song is its own story. Really good ones at that. I'm just gonna keep gettin more and more. Gives me somethin to do on the main computer, ahah. Anyone wanna suggest some songs or albums, feel free.

Interestingly enough, i'm starting to like Sociology. It's become FUN. We've learned SO MUCH, and there's more to come. I can remember each and every thing, in detail, as if i've known it for a long time. Each class is interesting, conversation filled, and at times hilarious. We've gone deeper, going beyond just a classroom learning forum, to an entire educational experience with like-minded people. At times the tasks feel daunting, but the lightheartedness and level headed tone that goes with it makes it all the more bearable. Wow. To think. In fact, all my subjects are easing out quite nicely.

This is gonna be a good week, i'm sure of it. I wish the same for you guys as well =)

Risk & Eagle Eye (Sun Oct 11, 2009, 1:09 PM)

Lately, i've been taking a LOT of risks. It seems my current circumstances have pulled me from my comfort zone, and have forced me to think on me feet, do what i feel is necessary, and treat the consequences with careful consideration. Without risk, there'd be much i couldn't have accomplished, stuff i couldn't have done or seen. But admittedly, i've been very much afraid of taking risks all my life. Always afraid i've done it wrong or i'd do it wrong. As time goes on, i realized there are some things we just have to take chances with. This doesn't mean we should be blindly brave, but rather that we should try to make that leap of faith whenever the time comes around.

Anywayz, on saturday (which was a GREAT day mind you) i finished it off by watching Eagle Eye on Sky Movies. Twas a MARVELOUS film. Crazy, fast-paced, explosive and memorable. With a pinch of salt in the form of the premise of 'Big Brother' (not the show, the concept), it was a fusion between Metal Gear Solid's backbone story and the first Matrix film. Minus the philosophy. Regardless, it was a great watch and i really enjoyed it. A new week begins, which means more work, more familiar faces, more more ;)

K Dash COMPLETE & UCAS Done and Dusted (Sun Oct 4, 2009, 1:08 PM)

ALRIGHT!!! In only a week, i managed to get all the components for K Dash!! Well, more or less. I got the red gloves, a black jacket and black jeans, and the cross necklace should come soon. I'm not completely sure about it, but if all else fails i'll use the Roxas necklace. I might take pictures if i get the chance. It's a huge relief to have sorted a legitimate cosplay already, else i'd be doin Krause again haha. Besides, i got new glasses which will look cool even without wearin the sunglasses all the time.

On another good note, i've filled in all of my UCAS form, gone through fire and flames to fine tune my Personal Statement, and finally sent it off. Despite some *ahem* annoyances ¬_¬, i've finally gotten this outta the way. But there's still other work to be done. Alas, that's 6th form life. Another week, another case study in humour, strife, and symbolism.

K Dash Cosplay & 'Collide' (Sun Sep 27, 2009, 1:26 PM)

October '09 London MCM Expo soon!! Which means cosplay time!! Being me, i put it off due to money constraints and the like, but i'm decided to aim for something. K', or as he's called: K Dash. Now i know for a FACT ia cannot afford his full cosplay, nor can i get leather that easily. So here's what i need:

-Red fingerless glove (though not accurate to his, better than nothin)
-Silver cross necklace
-Black jeans, or casual black trousers
-Black jeans jacket, or good enough black jacket

And with that, i'll be set. Won't be the best or most recognizable K Dash ever, but it's the best i can do hehe.

I suppose for the second half of my thoughts this week, Howie Days says it all:

'Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the wrong words seem to rhyme
Out of the doubt that fills my mind
I somehow find you and I collide'

Have A Great Week Everyone =)

Prize Evening & Being Stuck In The Middle (Sun Sep 20, 2009, 1:12 PM)

Heyooooo. On Tuesday at my school was a Prize Giving Evening for those who achieved some form of award last year. And i nearly missed it were it not for my friend who told me on facebook 3 hours before it started. SO LUCKY. I thought it was on Thursday!!! Haha. Oh well. It was *ahem* 'alright'. I knew already that i was going to get the Year 12 Prize for Drama, and i bought the book 'Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment' which was handed to me. But the gripe was twofold; LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG talk by some old guy, famous i suppose, who does commentary for cricket gave a journey through most of his career, which was interesting, but the POSHNESS was flowing from him like floodgates. Secondly, my headteacher praised the year 11, 13, and even the lower years for all their amazing grades. And then practically condemned to hell the Year 12s, as in us who are now Year 13, making us sound like the worst year they've ever had ¬_¬ *sigh* But what can ya do? Anywayz, the book is interesting, and i'll keep makin my way through it.

Part of my 'ish' this week was being caught in a very strange web as the result of several variables. I cannot mention any names, but let's just say 'the power of 3'. I thought i had a handle on it, but all of it swept by me so easily, probably taking a part of me with it. And then, a blast from the past rears its head, begging me, BEGGING me to practically breakdown. But i took it all in my stride, though there was some collateral along the way. I ended up ignoring people, not out of spite or anti-socialness, but merely cause i didn't want to end up saying my problem, as i usually do. I hope i'll make amends for my selfishness, and to anyone who i've wronged, i'm really sorry. Besides, now there's someone who needs me, well, needs a helping hand. So in the words of Chris Redfield 'I've got a job to do. And i'm gonna see it through'.

Though in the end, it is quite difficult being 'Stuck In The Middllllllllllllllle'

Year 13 & 'That Time Of Year' (Sun Sep 13, 2009, 1:13 PM)

With the first week of Year 13 done, I managed to pick up on a few things;

-Work is as usual. Though the stakes are higher, and deadlines tighter
-Not much has changed in terms of where i go, but i have TONS of frees =)
-Sociology is as expected ¬_¬ But i gotta hang in there, and help who i can
-The year 12s are 'alright'. Though not always friendly lookin, and the girls seems...interchangeable. Not to be mean, but it's VERY hard to tell them apart when there's about 12 blonde haired girls wearin next to the same thing.
-UCAS AND STUFF. Assemblies, uni open days, and DEADLINES. 'nuff said'

Tough stuff. But nothing i can't handle. I hope.

Anywayz, as we've all noticed summer is GONE. And in set, is a cool and cold wind, grey skies, and a gloomy feeling. As it gets colder, darker, and quieter, people get closer, making this an unfortunate time to be lonely. heh. Memories come flooding back, and feelings fly left, right, and centre. But since disappointment only comes when you realize the truth, i suppose i gotta trek the lonely road bravely in the conditions. And to any of you that must do the same; hang tight, friend =)

Ouran High Host Club & Haruhi Suzumiya (Sun Sep 6, 2009, 9:55 AM)

Tomorrow, is the beginning of my Year 13 life. YAY. And UCAS stuff, and Oxford stuff, and stuff stuff. Heh. Anywayz. Before my summer bled out, i decided to watch some anime. Hehe.

Now, i've read up to like Volume 6 or 7 of the Ouran High Host Club manga, and i really liked it, though some of the themes were a bit much, and i didn't fully warm up to the main character, even though she is the one in the right, sorta favorin Tamaki for his silly charm. And i didn't expect much from the anime, as in much difference. However from the get-go, if you've read the manga, it's freakin hilarious. Some jokes i got straight away, some were done differently, and i felt like the anime managed to flesh out Haruhi well enough, and her constant line of 'Damn Rich People'. Haha. The twins are interestin, Kyoya's vicious, and Mori (Travis Willingham FTW) is cool without a doubt. And i just bust a gut laughin on every episode, it's so quality. A definite good add to my favourite animes, right up there with the comdey greats like Pani Poni Dash, and Gurren Lagann.

With The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, i at first hated the character of Haruhi from her description in Neo mag, as in self-centred extortionist. But after watchin the first episode some time ago, she had a cute and vibrant charm i kinda smiled at, a bit like Kyon himself did. Sorta bein on his side the whole time. At episode 5, i was quite surprised, and i watched up to episode 14, and even watched the dance for Hare Hare Yukai. Good stuff. I didn't think i'd get into it so nicely.

Granted i seem like a douche for not likin the female leads for both animes right off the bat, but i suppose they're kind of an acquired taste-type characters. I love them both anyway..

Oh well, time for some more school. What shall Year 13 hold? We'll soon see.

AS Results Day '09 & FLIES (Sun Aug 23, 2009, 10:51 AM)

Yes...On August 20th 2009, myself and many other 16 and 17 year old 6th form and College students made the journey to our respective establishments in order to receive the results of our AS Examinations. It was a day of tears, laughing, evaluation, fear, and hope. Heh. The results were quite diverse, but as expected, quite a few got average grades. Many were scared and trembling, dreading and complaining. I just walked in, picked it up, looked at it, called the folks, then had some fun. Heh. Although, i dodged a bullet. Well, more like jumped to the other side of the world!! I got: Sociology- A, English Language- A, Philosophy- B, and Drama- C. Unfortunately, i'm dropping Drama. Suppose it just wasn't for me...it was just for the heck of it, and now there's no point. But it was worth it for the info, skills gained, and good times i had. And truth be told, i'll miss you Elouize =)

Now, to press on to Year 13. Come on my friends. We can do this =>

...
I think i know how 'Gears' feel. As in Gears of War. And just like in the Gears of War 2 teaser trailer, as Marcus Fenix said: 'IT NEVER ENDS'.

Sitting in my living room, everything's cool, everything fine. Watching Death Race with the family. Next minute i see a fly. No problemo, smack it down, wipe it up. Then we see another one. Kill it. ANOTHER one. Kill it. And then i go into the dining room and notice 2 or 3 about. I think 'Who left the door open'. The door WASN'T open. I go into the Kitchen, I see 1 on the wall, about to take it down, i hear a buzzing around the light. 2 flies were on flying around the light. Then it hit me, taking a step back, i noticed the TENS of flies on the walls and ceiling of my kitchen. My skin crawled. I gasped. It. Was. MAD.

Basically, from a certain someone in my family leaving the back door open too much ¬_¬ Flies must have hive'd up in the house somewhere, probably kitchen, and laid some eggs which hatched into the SWARM of some 30+ we're still dealing with now *sigh* It's disgusting. And they're all fat and slow, it's creepy. We let some go outside, and others we indiscriminately slew. Hopefully, we'll either 1. Find the hive, and DESTROY IT. Or 2. there was a set number which will run out soon.

MADNESS. I aint had this much a problem with insects since Lost Planet...Oh well. It'll be over soon, i hope. 2 more weeks of summer T_T wish i could go somewhere, hang with someone, but we'll have to see.

Keep fightin the good fight people.

Multiplayer MASSACRE & Song and Dance (Sun Aug 16, 2009, 2:19 PM)

FLYKICK TO YER FACE. "Player" has Been killed By A Headshot From An Unarmed Attack. MADNESS. That is F.E.A.R Multiplayer Demo. The download took me 6 hours!!! But it's worth it. Sure you die as easy as COD4, but it's still mad fun. Also, my hearts is now fond of Quake Live. It's pretty fast paced, but luckily, gettin used to F.E.A.R makes it easy. All good fun. *sigh* But for how long? Well, it's AMAZIN FUN.

Also, i've strangely been in a dancing mood. Courtesy of Crookers, and a certain Mr. Foletti ;) haha. Also, i positively LOVE Safe and Sound from Advent Children Complete: [link] Interesting artist mix, but great. That and i've been listening to SO much music lately. Haha. Awesomness. Well, ANOTHER WEEK

G.I.Joe & The Past (Sun Aug 9, 2009, 11:27 AM)

OMGOODNESS. G I Joe was AMAZING. Hasbro has DONE IT AGAIN. I'm sure everyone remembers Transformers of 2007 and what a powerful movie it was. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen raised the bar like NONSENSE. An inspirational film, and now G I Joe follows suit in SPECTACULAR form. Heh. I can't say much, but you have GOT to love 3 things about the film; 1. Snake Eyes 2. The Accelerator Suits 3. Sienna Miller ;) WHAT A FILM. If you love action, good cgi, or just an amazing spectacle, this film is for you =)

Anywayz, after going through some stuff in the garage, i found some old photos and drawings. hah. I'm still amazed at my ability at the time. At the age of 11, i just picked up a pencil and a piece of paper, drew a picture of Goku, and...it was good. I drew so much back then, and now i have very few drawings left. I managed to find 4 which i'll upload soon. As for the pics, they'll go on Facebook. *sigh* Nostalgia of the past. It's an interesting feeling.

Well, another week of fun and challenges begins. Let's Do This =>

Media Excitement & Unforgotten (Sun Aug 2, 2009, 2:25 PM)

As summer vaca continues, I continue to do more fun media related stuff.I.e., my 360, the internet, music, and such like. I recently picked up Lost Planet, and i have played the single player and online demo before, but the actual game is where the meat is at. GIANT INSECTS. Quite horrifying at first, but can produce some EPIC battles. Such as Green Eye; the giant caterpillar like 'Akrid' (the snow insects in the game) that killed the main character's father in the beginning of the game. That fight was AMAZING. Stunning to look at, challenging, and satisfying. I discovered that's only halfway through the game, and i'm quite excited to see how the next few levels shall go!!

Similarly, i'm quite happy i FINALLY got the first achievement for Sonic The Hedgehog (360) It was for completing Sonic's story, and 30g isn't bad i suppose *sigh* There's still more to do. Not a bad game, just mildly annoying. Anyway, discovering NEDM was one of the most shocking, interesting, and utterly hilarious things i've done on the internet. Not only for the nonsense of the a cat zapping people, but it re-awakened my love for the song 'We Interrupt This Program' by Coburn. On the more *ahem* "black" side of me, i checked out the Jazzie show which was pretty hilarious, as well as getting into more Giggs songs.

I'd also like to thank CandyDai for sending me those 'Charlie's War' videos when i was feeling down. It has quite the charm to it, both in implications and obvious jokes.

On the other side of the story, is why i was so gloomy in the first place...As if it had dawned on me, the death of one of the GREATEST anime characters in history made me think of how my friend's father, and even my own grandfather have died...I don't know how my friend's doing, but something tells me he's still going strong. And i will admit, in the long run i, and many others, seem to nearly disregard people's deaths as a way of not letting it get to us. It's only natural, but i feel bad as if i'm forsaking their memory. But, listening to the song 'Unforgotten' by Martin O'Donnell & Michael Salvatori from Halo 2, with it's mellow and solemn symphony, made me think and understand how even though they are dead, they will indeed remain Unforgotten, as they were precious too us. I certainly won't forget that one character ;) And to anyone who's looking for a peaceful and heartfelt tune, check out Unforgotten from Halo 2- it's really touched me (as most Halo songs do) and i'm sure you'll appreciate it to.

A new week, one sure to be busy to a degree. Gotta keep on keepin on =)

Persona & Regrets (Sun Jul 26, 2009, 2:45 PM)

I will admit, a lot has happened to me this week, but it's hard to pick what to say. All i can say, is two things i came up with;

True Love Is Falling In Love With Someone's "Personality", NOT Their "Persona"

and

Regrets Are Like The Souls Of The People Slain By Samurais; Clinging To Our Very Hearts, Slowly Dragging Us To Hell. But If We Can break Free Of Their Control, Move Ahead, And Be At Peace, Then Not Even The Chains of The Devil Can Ever Hold Us Down

Just words that came to my mind...I suppose they seem a bit cliche, but it's kinda how i feel. Anywayz, not the happiest of times. But one has to move along.

Sandbox Madness & Return To Form (Sun Jul 19, 2009, 1:11 PM)

[PROTOTYPE]...WHAT A GAME.

Here's an equation for you; Assassin's Creed + Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction + Ultimate Spider-Man = WIN. 1 word; ABSORBTION. And it never gets old. I will not lie to you, i don't usually go for sandbox madness like rampaging around in GTA, but THIS IS MY SANDBOX. It's like giving an angry 12 year old and AK-47, and setting him loose in a playground full of bullies. It's GREAT. (and this was for comical purposes only, please i imply no criminal intent whatsoever) I've only got the claws at the moment, but i've got quite a fe skills; i.e. gliding, critical mass move 1, and higher jumps. MAN ALIVE it's fun as well. NO BOUNDARIES or anything. And as we all now know, Prototype beats Infamous. Partly because it's multi-platform. Partly because it's AWESOME.

As for a return to form, Youtube again proves to be more entertaining than bait. BK217 and Blackmamba collab'd to produce the CRAZINESS that is Devil May Cry: Stupid Files 9!!! And here's we thought it ended at 8, which was AMAZING. I guess after the trouble BK217 ran into with his Silent Hill parody, DMC:SF needed to be ressurected. And it was as funny, crazy, random, disgusting, and LEGENDARY as usual. Proof that good ideas don't age fast.
Another return to form was Tenchuassassin's 'Next Hype' AMV. If you've seen ANY Tenchuassassin videos, and if you're a fan of grime music and anime, this is sure not to disappoint. It's everything you expect, and more. Also, 'unfinished vids' is also quite charming, and i couldn't get over the intro to it. Good stuff, good times =)

Anyways, time for some VACA FUN. GAMES. MANGA. ANIME. MUSIC. FRIENDS. PIANO. I JOKE ;)

As for the 'musculation' part, i refer to doing weights and such like. My muscles have been ACHING and thanks to a cold, it got WORSE. Not too bad though. Now that i've healed, i'm much STROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONGERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. YARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH. I hope...

Oh well. Here's to a MAGNIFICENT start to my summer vaca!! *dances*

BlazBlue & Danson Festival (Sun Jul 5, 2009, 1:30 PM)

As you can imagine; being a HUGE Guilty Gear fan, hearing that Arc System Works, the creators of GG, are making a new fighting game, for Xbox 360 and PS3, called 'BlazBlue' (pronounced Blaze-Blue), i was OVER THE MOON! Why, it looks AMAZING. True to Guilty Gear, and with a style of it's own- it's everything the doctor ordered for a GG fan.
I've looked at quite a few videos so far, and got a few of the character's themes. Ragna; main character, and my Facebook and MSN display pictures, is quite the cool character. A 'bit' like Sol-Badguy, only he has an actual sword, which seems to have a shotgun at the top of it. A 'gunblade' if you will. His theme music is legend; Rebellion, which in comparison to Keep Yourself Alive II, Sol's theme, isn't 'better', but different. Different good that is =)
Of course i'm excited for its existence on this earth. Though no British release date is available, i hope and pray it'll come out soon. If not, i at least hope to play it one day.

As for 'Danson Festival', i refer to the large park festival that occurs 2 days, once a year in Danson Park; those of us living around the Bexley Borough will know where this is =) Now, i've been before, and they were good, but i will admit, this time around was AMAZING. It had the usual rides and concession stands. But i also noticed the MASS amount of people compared to last time. With the company of two of the best friends a guy can have, we looked around; seein the large band shell - gettin free cds of Live Politics and Facade - the dancing stage, many Bexley Council program stands, the local bands area, and the community music, of which i was very captivated by the blues group.
All in all, it was a nice sunny day, reminding me of how great it is to be with friends, having fun and relaxing, listening to good music on a summer weekend. Too bad there's still some school left to finish => haha.

Anywayz, i'm pretty happy. And i'll hopefully be so for a while. And as for a certain Mr. James, i hope he rests in peace with my condolences.

The MOVIES: Transformers 2 & The Mist (Sun Jun 28, 2009, 12:12 PM)

Hello peoples, hehehe. It's THAT MAN. I'm jokin. It's A. R. Hehe. Guilty Gear fans out there would understand that very obscure character reference.

Anywayz, watched Transformers: Revenge of [the] Fallen, or 'ROF' as my cousin calls it. Verdict? GREAT. New bits? YES. Better? MOSTLY (didn't have as much effect that last one huh?) look at it this way-

Transformers = Gears of War/ Transformers: ROF = Gears of War 2

And what i mean by this is that ROF is longer, faster, more in your face, better character development, les cheesy, more bits we love than bits we're uncomfortable in (i.e. Sam's "happy time" in one), and overall more action, more explosions, more emotion, more more. haha. An improvement, and definitely not the end. Although i will admit, The Fallen was a foe and 1/2!!!!! Like the last boss in a game, he had CRAZY SKILLZ!!!!! Haha. Wouldn't wanna ruin it though.

Now as for The Mist; FREAKIN 'A!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to admit; don't watch many horror/ sci-fi films on occasion, but this one was worth it. When it comes to most 'survival horror' type films, i always find all the holes in it, cliches, and certainly the plot devoid of substance. But being Stephen King spawned, it managed to navigate through my defenses NICELY, and intrigued me to no end.

If anything took the cake; and i mean busted in through your window, knifed your cat, took the cake while runnin, the dived out your kitchen window, THEN threw in a flashbang; it would be the ENDING!!!!!! My GAWD. The ending had so many religious, psychological, and even philosophical magnitude to it. I think it's underlying principle was about hope, courage, and fear and how by allowing one to take too much precedence, then fate could take an unexpected turn. Anymore said, and it'd ruin the magnificence of the originality of that ending. If anything, it's not for the faint or heart and might even damage a few brain cells as it works its way into your cognitive mind. hehe.

Well, a new week awaits. 2 more till i get out of 6th form. Until then, stay savvy my friends, and stay strong =)

Birthdays and Ipods Dayssssss (Sun Jun 7, 2009, 3:31 PM)

Ok then, the two topics here are my and a very certain someone, you know who you are =) and Ipods; as i got an Ipod Nano 4th Gen for my birthday.

Turning 17. Heh. There was a strange amount of fear that i had for quite a long time during the countdown to my birthday...strangely involving the number 2...If that makes no sense, well disregard it, as i completely made it up =)

Haha. As for my birthday itself, it was a surprise getting an Ipod, of which i put all my music on and now videos, as i FINALLY figured out how to get flash video on there. It was read in my 360 straight away. It was kinda cool. Got 12 Months Xbox Live from M; thanks dawg, and got to play COD4 for 1 more night (night night night night...)

As for mon amie, her birthday, well pre-birthday, celebration was not as joyous; feelings seeming to emulate from her own journal entry. Regardless, she's ok now, albeit a sickness, which this one hopes will soon pass.

Thinkin about it, i might trade for my mom's 80gig Ipod, cause mine's only 8. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, i'll wait till i run out of space which is bound to happen soon.

Wellll, if you've read this far and survived, i thank you for your patronage, and i wish you good health.
If i know ya; talk to ya later!!

2 Topics Journal Entries!!! (Sun May 31, 2009, 1:09 PM)

SERIOUS. Well, every Sunday i'll do a rundown of the week based on 2 main topics. For my first time, it'll be; Philosophy Revision & Wanted: Weapons of Fate.

As for Philosophy, the first exam went well, but i won't lie, i wasn't too prepared for Unit 2. Knowledge of the External world was HUGE. It took me 9 HOURS TO NOTE IT ALL DOWN, and 3 hours to make the notes smaller...gawd. And i hadn't even done the second topic; which i'm doin now. Free Will, but that's pretty easy to me. Anywayz, difficulties aside, wasn't too bad. And philosophy's always cool; there was a Matrix quote at the end of the External World. Gonna be sure to remember that =)

Now for Wanted. My GAWD what a game. You curved one bullet, you've curved A HUNDRED. Nah, actually you haven't. There's an achievement for curving 100 bullets, so curvin one won't give it to you. Though i got that AND the 'Curved 1 Bullet to kill 2 People'; it was SICK. Crazy, violent, funny and pretty slick and awesome, Wanted was fun. I went from 2000-3000g cause of that. My GAWD. SO many achievements; all pretty easy, cause i got 40 out of 50. Twas fun, but a certain boy named after one of the bible's gospels might be wantin it back...haha.

Wells, borin as heck but hey, it's what comes to mind. Anywayz; stay frosty friends, and remember; GET CARLOS

About: Starting

Decided to hop on Blogger. Not sure how dedicated i'll be, but i figured i might as well get started.
